Validation in the MDR mappings is used to ensure there is a minimum data integrity.
Date format
Error message
"Value could not be converted to DateTime format. Value: 1-Jan-2018 15:15:05:210' is invalid for target property 'SPFRevIssueDate'"
Solution
The date format must match that defined in the MDR mapping. The default is dd-Mmm-yyyy, for example, 01-Jan-2019.
Editing files in Excel might convert date formats or strip the leading zeros.
Property value
Error message
"Property value 'TRUE' is invalid for target property 'SCLBIsOKToShareWithOtherOrgs'"
Solution
Boolean field must be in the correct format. The expected format for Boolean fields is True or False.
Editing files in Excel will often result in upper case TRUE/FALSE entries and these fail validation.
Document revision
The document revision must match the mapped revision scheme. The default mapped scheme is 01A. The leading ‘0’ is required.
Referenced files
Error message
"Check Staging File Exists: File does not exist at specified location."
Solution
All files referenced in the csv must be selected during submittal creation as supporting files on page 3 of the submittal create wizard.
Issue purpose
Error message
"One or more Issue Purpose(s) specified in csv is not valid for current config"
Solution
The issue purposes for the project must be selected on the project or its parent plant if none are selected on the project.
Disciplines
Error message
"One or more Discipline(s) specified in csv is not valid for current config"
Solution
The disciplines for the project must be selected on the project or its parent plant if none are selected on the project.
Contract
Error message
"Document is already related to a contract and cannot be related to another contract"
Solution
A contract must be selected when creating a submittal and it must be the same as the one selected for a previous submittal of the same MDR and its related documents. Usually there is only one contract created in a project for each external contractor organization, so this would automatically default.
