Configure ExtractDataFromText rule - HxGN SDx - Update 64 - Administration & Configuration

The ExtractDataFromText rule is used to extract content from a related text extracted earlier. For example, this rule would apply if sheet size A1 is to be extracted from the related text A1SHEET.

To configure the ExtractDataFromText rule, you must complete the following steps:

1. In the Configuring Rule for Template window, select an item from the Related Item list to specify the related item that is already extracted.

2. Select the property to be used to store the extracted value from the Related Attribute list.

3. Type a pattern in the Pattern box. Alternatively, click Configure Pattern to create a pattern. The content matching this pattern is extracted from the drawing file.

4. Type a numerical value in the Position of First Character box to define the position from where extraction of characters must begin.

5. Type a numerical value in the Number of Characters to Extract box to retrieve the specified number of characters.

6. Type a numerical value in the Minimum Number of Characters box to specify the minimum length of the text.

7. Type in a character in the Padding Character box. This character will be added to the extracted text if the length of the text is less than the number specified in the Minimum Number Of Characters box.

8. Click OK.
