Problem

When accessing an InsightView, a widget is empty or displays an error.

For information on specific errors, see When viewing a widget, the error "Resource not found for the segment <Name>" is returned and When viewing a widget, the error "No route found" is returned.

Common causes

  1. A user name and password are required to log on to the external web page in an iframe widget.

  2. The widget is linked to another widget which is in a different scope.

  3. In a SmartCloud environment, URLs to external applications are restricted by default.

  4. The widget is disabled as, the last time the dashboard was displayed, the widget request either took too long to return the results, or there were too many results returned.

Solution 1

Click to see the status of a widget, and then click to log on to the external web page in a new window.

Solution 2

If a widget is linked to another widget (indicated by Link_widgets), it will only display results if the two widgets are showing the same scope.

Solution 3

In a SmartCloud environment, ask your Estate Owner to raise an Estate Request for the URL to be added to the allow list. If you are unsure who to contact, please email Hexagon Smart Cloud Support.

Solution 4

Manually enable the widget by clicking Refresh. However, when the dashboard reloads, the widget will be disabled again if it continues to run slowly or return too many results. Ask your administrator to look into the issue if this happens.
