The property SPFIsConfigurationControlled, exposed on the ISPFClassDefExt interface definition, determines whether a class definition is configuration-controlled. A configuration-controlled object is created in the current create configuration and visible from that configuration and its subconfigurations, whereas objects that are not configuration-controlled are created at the Configuration Top and visible to all configurations.
Items may still be created at Configuration Top with this flag set, which results in a configuration independent object.
