Selective indexing allows you to index objects that satisfy specific criteria and can be scheduled to start at a specific date and time.
Selective indexing is useful in the following scenarios:

The FTR Regular Indexing turn ON/OFF option is disabled for a specific period and you want to perform the indexing of the objects added in that time range.
By default, FTR regular indexing is disabled.

There is a change in the FTR configuration that requires certain objects to be indexed or re-indexed.

You want to index previously failed objects.
