Create a watermark - HxGN SDx - Update 64 - Administration & Configuration

This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Create a watermark (modified in an update).

1. Click Business Administration > Create Watermark in the Web Client. The New Watermark dialog box is displayed.

2. Type a Name and Description for the watermark.

3. Enter the Details, Position and Alignment, and Style.

   Watermark options

   Option	Description
   Type	Select TEXT to create a text watermark using Watermark Text, Font, Size Type, and Font Size or Relative Scale. Select IMAGE to create an image watermark using File (select the image file saved in your computer) and Relative Scale.
   Watermark Text	Enter the watermark text or dynamic values such as: File name: &Obj.Name& Creation time: &env.currenttime&
   Font	Select a font available on the server machine for the watermark text. You can select the All Unicode font to display special characters such as technical symbols and non-Latin alphabets as the watermark text.
   Size Type	Use numerical values representing the absolute font size by selecting Font Size. Use percentage of the total page size by selecting Relative Scale.
   Font Size	Based on the size type, select a numerical value (starting from 0) or a decimal figure (from 0 to 1).
   Horizontal Alignment	Select a position among left, center, and right.
   Vertical Alignment	Select a position among top, center, and bottom.
   Offset X Coordinate	Adjust the position along horizontal alignment.
   Offset Y Coordinate	Adjust the position along vertical alignment.
   Rotation	Select an angle between 0° and 360°. For values above 360°, the angle will be adjusted by subtracting 360° from the given value.
   As Background	Keeps the watermark in the background.
   Color	Select a color for the watermark text.
   Opacity	Set the opacity of the watermark.

4. Configure the usage of the watermark in the Use section. You have the following options:

   • Apply the watermark on specific renditions and their thumbnails by selecting Active for Alternate Rendition and the relevant condition.

   • Apply the watermark on printed files by selecting Active for Print and the relevant condition.

   • The Condition, configured at the file level, sets the criteria for watermark usage. If unselected, the watermark will always be applied.

5. Click Finish to create the watermark.

• Based on the conditions for the actual design object, multiple watermarks can appear on the alternate rendition.

• If you want to update an existing watermark, search for it, click Update Watermark, and make the changes.

• After changing the Size Type in the Update Watermark screen, you should ensure that valid values are used for the Font Size.
