Request headers are used to provide additional information to an HTTP request. For example, you could use it to specify a specific configuration to limit the results returned. Request headers can be related to authorization servers for use when authenticating, Web APIs when retrieving meta data, and widgets when executing a request.

In the Dashboards feature set, select Create Request Header.

Type a name for the request header.

Type the required key and the value to use.

In addition to standard HTTP request headers, OData headers are also supported. For more information, see OData headers in Web API v1 or v2.

When using an environment variable, the request header is not sent with the request to resolve the environment variable.
