This rule is defined to extract data from the input file.

  1. Select the cell for which you want to configure this rule type.

  2. In the Rule Name box, type a name for this rule type.

  3. In the Rule Type list, select RowColMapRule.

  4. In the Target Object list, select the target object. This is the Business Object that is defined in the Property Lists module. For more information, see Property Lists.

  5. In the Related Attribute list, select the related attribute. This is the property related to the Business Object.

    The value of the cell that has this rule type is displayed in the Reference box.

  6. If the selected related attribute has a Unit of Measure or UoM, it will be highlighted in the document.

    The UoM has the following options:

    • UoM Header – Select this option if the property is present in one cell and the corresponding UoM is present in the header. For example: [Temperature (°C)].

    • Mapping – Select this option if the property and the corresponding UoM value are in different cells.

    • Value Cell – Select this option if the property and the corresponding UoM value are present in the same cell.

  7. Type a value in the Default Value box to use it if the cell does not have any value at the time of processing the data file.

  8. Select the check boxes to do the following:

    • Output Data – Select this option to display the data in the output.

    • Force Blank – Select this option to extract the cell to the content file and to leave the value as a blank.

    • Remove Spaces – Select this option to remove the spaces from the extracted text.

  9. In the Reference list, select the reference rule that is to be used as a reference point to locate the data.

  10. Click Apply to apply the rule for the selected cell.

    • To update the rule, select the cell for which the rule is configured, and click Edit Rule from the Configure Rule pane.

    • To delete the rule, select the cell for which the rule is configured, and click Delete Rule , and then click Apply from the Configure Rule pane.

  11. Click Close to go to the Manage Templates view.
