The List Management Console in advanced mode is available to administrators with the System Administration role. Click Administration > List Management Console - Advanced to open the console in advanced mode.

Advanced mode allows access to more interfaces and allows you to configure lists with list management capability.

Realized Interfaces

The advanced mode of the console also includes the Realized Interfaces section. The Realized Interfaces section allows you to edit all interfaces that are realized by a class definition.

List management

The advanced mode allows you to create and edit lists with list management functionality. These lists allow you to save lists of items as list documents. You can save the list as a new list document, or query for an existing list document. When the list document functionality is configured for a list, you see two additional buttons in the List Edit control. The button captions are configurable, so you can change the caption to display the name of the object you want to use as a list document. For example, if you configure the list to be saved as a list document called Custom List, you can set the text on the two buttons added to the List Edit control to look like the buttons below.

See Create a list in advanced mode for details about configuring a list with list document capabilities.

Edit interfaces for a list

You can configure the same list to be available from more than one interface. See Edit interfaces for a list for more information. This is useful if you want to use the same list to edit lists of multiple objects that share the properties available on the list. Instead of creating a duplicate list, you can attach the list to a common interface or to two separate interfaces, one on each class of object.

You can only specify one class definition per list to use when creating new items in the List Edit control. For this reason, it is recommended that you configure the same list on multiple interfaces only if the list does not support creating new items.
