Force Refresh to update graphics in a Smart 3D model - HxGN SDx - Update 64 - Administration & Configuration

Problem

3D Project As-Built (PAB) users viewing a Hexagon 3D model streamed from the VDS into the GVC viewer, cannot get the latest data after selecting the Refresh command.

Cause

The Refresh command only works after the treeLifespan display setting has expired. For more information about this setting, see display.

Solution

The Force Refresh command resets the treeLifespan display setting, enabling the Refresh command for your users.

To do this:

1. Log on to a 3D Project As-Built (PAB) site as a user with the PABSystemAdmin role.

2. View the applicable 3D View Filter that needs to be refreshed.

3. Select Force Refresh from the menu bar.

The Refresh command reduces viewing performance since this re-runs the workspace query that creates the graphic tree structure.
