This rule type allows you to increase the range of the highlighted box by modifying the offset values. It is applied for all the highlighted boxes across different files.
-
If the validation rule exists and when applied fails, the template also fails. The next template is then applied on the file. If the rule does not exist, then the first template in the group is applied and all others are ignored.
-
You can extract tags or business objects from a drawing file in PDF format without defining any validation rules.
Offset values can be defined only in the validation rule of any template. The offset values defined in the validation rule of a template are applied to all other rules in the template.
The validation rule can be defined in the following way:
RT = VL|Offset x=10|Offset Y=10
For example:
RT=VL|OSX=10|OSY=10
To configure the validation rule, you use the following steps:
-
In the Editing Rule for <Rule Name> window, type integer values in the Offset X and Offset Y boxes. The offset values are used to align drawings that have the keywords available in slightly different positions.
-
Select the Trim Text check box to remove the spaces from the extracted text.
-
Click OK.
You can also define the rule by providing the Target Object and Property/Attribute values. The attribute values input
For example:
RT=VL|TO=TD|Attr=Name|Multi=False|Trim=False
You need not have to define this rule if you were to extract nothing but the tags from the drawing.
