Configure the Graphic View Control (GVC) and the Visualization Data Service (VDS) - HxGN SDx - Update 64 - Administration & Configuration

This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Configure WebGL viewer file generation (modified in an update).

You must do the following to configure viewing using the Graphic View Control for HxGN SDx environments:

• Install and configure the VDS

  If you are upgrading from a version later than HxGN SDx Update 35, the Visualization Data Service (VDS) must also be upgraded. It is available in the Additional Software subfolder of the product installation folder. For more upgrade information, see Important news about compatible software and related tools.

• Create a VDS connection

• Enable the Graphic View Control (GVC)

The following is specifically required for HxGN SDx for Project As-Built (PAB) environments:

• Configure VDS for a HxGN SDx for PAB site

The following is specifically required for standalone HxGN SDx environments:

• Configure WebGL renditions

If needed, you can generate your own localization files for the Graphic View Control (GVC):

• Localize the Graphic View Control (GVC)

After installation and configuration, you should Verify your VDS settings.
