Create the Hexagon default PBS interactively - HxGN SDx - Update 64 - Administration & Configuration

The Plant Breakdown Structure feature set can be used to interactively create the Hexagon default PBS hierarchy.

• You must have the Business Administrator or SDx Administrator role to create the PBS.

• Maintenance units and systems, commissioning units and systems, modules, modules systems, and corrosion loops can only be created using the Load Manager.

• This method can only be used to create the Hexagon default PBS hierarchy. To create a cross-plant hierarchy, you must use the Load Manager. For more information, see Create the PBS using the Load Manager.

1. If creating a site or plant, check your Create Scope is set to Scope Not Set, otherwise it should be set to the required plant.

2. In the Plant Breakdown Structure feature set, click Create <Object>.

3. Enter a name for the object. When creating a plant, ensure you follow the guidelines in Plant Naming Guidelines.

4. Complete any other required fields:

   • For a plant, select the site the plant belongs to and set the status to Active

   • For a unit, select the required area

If you are creating a plant, once you have completed the required boxes, you can click Manage Config Details to select the required classifications, disciplines, and issue purposes for this plant. For more information, see Manage the plant configuration details.
