The following role criteria are used to filter the deputies that can be selected when
a workflow step is reassigned. The options are SAMEROLE, MANAGEDBYROLE, MANAGEROLE,
and ANY. You can select multiple criteria, for example, SAMEROLE and MANAGEROLE, to
filter available deputies.
SAMEROLE
In this scenario, the software filters deputies based on those users who have the
same roles or more roles. User2 is a valid deputy because it has the same roles plus
more than User1. User3 is not a valid deputy because it only matches fewer roles than
User1.
MANAGEDBYROLE
In this scenario, the software filters deputies based on those users who manage the
user's role. User1 is related to Role1 which is managed, through a relationship, by
Role3. User2 is not directly managed by Role3, while User3 is directly related to
Role3. User3 is a valid deputy because it has Role3, which manages Role1. User2 is
not a valid deputy because it is not directly managed by Role3, nor is its Role1 managed
by Role3.
MANAGEROLE
In this scenario, the software filters deputies based on those users who are directly
managed by the same role. User1 is related to Role2 which manages, through a relationship,
Role4. User2 is directly related to Role4. User2 is a valid deputy because it is directly
managed by the same role. User3 is not a valid deputy because it has no relationship
to Role4.
ANY
In this scenario, the software filters deputies based on users regardless of role.
All users are valid deputies.
