SDx provides two automated workflows to execute changes to your plant.

  • Change request workflow allows you to execute simple changes to your plant within your company or execute and collaborate on large projects with contractors using SDx Projects.

  • Temporary change request workflow allows you to create temporary change requests, where the change is reverted to the original state once an expiration date is reached.

Your system administrator may modify the workflows so that the steps differ from those shown. The steps are still carried out using the procedures described in What do you want to do?.

You can update documents without going through the more formal change management process. See Create and manage changes to plant documents.

SHARED Tip You need to claim your workflow step when multiple users are assigned to the same user role. To claim a workflow step, select Actions > Claim Workflow Step.
