  1. Select the Consolidate responses step in your To Do List.

  2. Click Actions > Consolidate Responses.

  • The consolidator can consolidate all the reference documents and attached files provided by other responders using Add to Consolidate in the Consolidate Responses dialog box. Any response comments provided by other responders have to be manually copied to the consolidated response by the consolidator.

  • The consolidator can remove any reference documents and directly attached files provided by other responders from the consolidated response using Remove from Consolidate in the Consolidate Responses dialog box.

  • All the markups created by other responders on the reference documents and directly attached files are selected by default in the consolidated response. The consolidator has the option to deselect any of these markups from the consolidated response and can also create new markups.

  • The consolidator can reassign the Consolidate responses step to another user.

    • Click Actions > Reassign.

  • The consolidator has to rework the technical query response if the compliance reviewer rejects the consolidated response. For more information, see Rework the response.

What happens when a consolidator requests additional responders?

The Append Responder workflow handles the request from a consolidator to add one or more responders to the current technical query workflow. The workflow creates a review object for the appended reviewer and adds a task in the user's To Do list.

  1. Select the Consolidate responses step in your To Do List.

  2. Click Actions > Add Responder.

  3. In the Add Recipients page, select the Role and User, and then click Finish.

How to identify step progress as a consolidator?

When a Prepare response step is completed, it reflects in the step progress column as a percentage. The percentage of the progress depends on the number of responders to the technical query. For example, If a technical query has two responders assigned:

Responder action

Step progress

Response is started but not completed by any of the responders

The step progress is 0.

One of the responders completes the response

The step progress is 50%.

You add a new responder

The step progress is 33.33%. (Now the number of responders is three and only one of them has completed the response)

You reassign the Prepare Response step to a responder who has already completed the technical query

The step progress of incoming or outgoing technical query is calculated accordingly.

All the responders complete the prepare response task

The step progress is completed and is shown as 100%.
