Displays when you click Convert Geometries to Design Solid in the Modify Geometry Type Shape Controls. You can also access these controls by typing the command name in the Command Search box.
Available options depend on whether you run the command from the Modify Geometry Type Shape Controls (1) or from the Command Search (2).
General
Name
Displays the name of the geometry type shape. In instances where you run Convert Geometries to Design Solid from the Modify Geometry Type Shape Controls, the Name box is populated with the name of the selected geometry type shape. However, if you run the Convert Geometries to Design Solid command using Command Search, you must select a geometry type shape from the model or from the System Hierarchy Explorer.
Select Shape
Prompts you to select a geometry type shape. This option is not available if you run Convert Geometries to Design Solid from the Modify Geometry Type Shape Controls.
Geometries
Select Geometries
Selects the geometries from the shape to form a design solid. You cannot select polymesh geometries. This control is available only if you have selected a geometry type shape.
Auto Traverse
Adds all the geometries connected to the selected geometry.
Delete
Deletes the selected row in the grid.
Delete All
Deletes all the rows in the grid.
Geometry Type
Lists all the geometries that are selected for the geometry type shape. The selected number of geometries displays at the bottom of the grid.
Operation
Specifies the operation to perform when creating the design solid shape. At least one geometry must be added to view the options.
Process
Use the selected geometry to create the design solid shape and delete the geometry from the original shape. This is the default setting.
Delete
Exclude the selected geometry while creating the design solid shape and delete the geometry from the original shape.
Process + Remove holes
Fill the hole with material and consider the plane for creating the design solid shape. This operation is only available for planes that have holes.
Compute
Computes the design solid from the specified geometries. After the compute process is successful, the grid objects and the Compute button are unavailable.
Cancel
Cancels the command and abandons any unsaved changes.
Finish (Ctrl+Return)
Saves all changes and exits the command. This button is not available until the compute process completes successfully. After you click Finish , the software adds the shape with a Boolean Add operator under the new design solid.
Using the Tools > Utilities > Convert SIO to Native S3D Command to convert SIO equipment and equipment components with complex geometries to native Smart 3Dx equipment creates shapes as imported shapes that contain the geometry for each SIO equipment/equipment component aspect. To help identify these shapes, the File Path property displays ImportedShapeCreatedFromSIOEquipment in the Modify Import Shape controls. This setting cannot be edited for copied/converted equipment.
