Select Structural Tab > Columns by Grid Intersection Command to display the Place Columns by Grid Intersection Controls.

Define the Parent System for the columns.

In the Type category box, select the Column type.

In the Type box, select Column.

Set the Cross Section, Material, Cardinal Point, and Angle options as required.

Select the bottom elevation plane for the columns.

Select the top elevation plane for the columns.

Drag a fence around all the grid intersections where you want columns placed. You can drag multiple fences if needed. Drag a fence around previous fence placed columns to remove them. Press BACKSPACE to remove columns from the last fence.

Complete the placement:

Select Finish or press CTRL + ENTER to save your changes and exit the command.

Select Finish and Modify or press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then start the modification of that object.

Select Finish and Repeat or press SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then restart the command using the same options.
