Keyboard CTRL + B

Clips the display volume for the view. If you have selected objects, the software clips the view to display those objects, but hides any objects outside the volume they occupy. If you do not have anything selected, Smart 3Dx places a clipping volume in the center of the view for you to manipulate as needed. If a clipping volume already exists, you can modify that volume. This command is available on the View Tab and on the View Manipulation Toolbar.

The size or range of the clipping volume depends on the volume of the object that you have selected in the model. If multiple objects are selected, the clipping volume surrounds all of the selected objects. If there are no selected objects, the clipping volume defaults to half of the total size of the loaded model.

Select a clipping-volume corner-sphere or a plane-indicator arrow to select. Move your mouse and click the new location to resize the clipping volume.

Select Clear in the menu list to remove the clipping volume and restore all clipped objects in the currently selected view. Use Clear All to remove the clipping volume and restore clipped objects in all displayed windows.

The toolbar icon is shaded if the graphic view has an active clipping volume.
