Named Views
Controls displaying and creating typical views of the model. You can create a named view of a clipping volume display. This also allows you to quickly make modifications to a clipped view by opening the saved named view and then using the Clip By Volume Command (CTRL+B).
Clip
Add/Remove Objects
Adds or removes objects from a collection of objects whose range defines the clipping volume size.
Volume Manipulator
Resizes the clipping volume size by dragging volume corners or planes.
Invert Clipping
Reverses the display of the clipping volume. The display includes either the objects inside the volume, or the objects outside the volume.
Undo Clipping
Undo the last clipping action.
Clear Clipping
Removes the clipping volume. Select Clear All from the drop-down list to clear clipping volumes from all views.
Fit View
Displays all objects in the selected view.
Enable All Clipping Planes
Select to enable all clipping planes that you have disabled. You can disable a clipping plane by right-clicking the plane arrow and selecting Hide Plane.
Offset
Enter an offset distance between the object you selected and the clipping volume. Enter a positive number to move the clipping volume away from the object. Enter a negative number to move the clipping volume closer to the object. The default offset is 25 mm. Offset is only available when you have selected objects before starting the Clip By Volume Command (CTRL+B).
Apply to all views
Select to apply the defined clipping to all active views.
View List
Specifies the view in which the clipping results display.
Move
Move
Moves the clipping volume.
Move From (Ctrl + T)
Specifies the point from which to start the move.
Move To (T)
Specifies the point at which to finish the move.
No Constraint (CTRL + 6)
Objects are free to move in any direction.
East
Y-axis and Z-axis coordinates are locked. Object moves freely along the X-axis.
North
X-axis and Z-axis coordinates are locked. Object moves freely along the Y-axis.
Elevation
X-axis and Y-axis coordinates are locked. Object moves freely along the Z-axis.
Elevation Plane (CTRL + 1)
Z-axis coordinate is locked. Object moves freely in the X-Y coordinate plane.
East-West Plane (CTRL + 3)
X-axis coordinate is locked. Object moves freely in the Y-Z coordinate plane.
North-South Plane (CTRL + 2)
Y-axis coordinate is locked. Object moves freely in the X-Z coordinate plane.
Close the control to accept the clipping volume.
