Do one of the following to select multiple objects in the model to open the Modify Selection Controls. You can only select those objects that match the Locate Filters.

Choose Select . Press SHIFT or CTRL, and click to select multiple objects.

Click Select and drag to place a fence that selects all objects that match your filter. Drag from left to right to place a blue fence that selects filtered objects that are fully inside the fence. Drag from right to left to place a green fence that selects all filtered objects inside the fence and all filtered objects that the fence overlaps.
A padlock displays in the title bar if one or more selected objects is not in a working state, or if you do not have Write permissions to a selected object.

If the Modify Selection title bar displays a padlock , go to the Properties view and change the Approval State of the locked objects to Working. If the title bar does not display a padlock , the select set does not contain any locked objects.

Select Modify Selection on the Modify Selection dialog, and then press SHIFT+click to add objects to the select set. Alternatively, press CTRL+click a selected object to remove it from the select set.
The example below shows three processes, two of which are selected.

Press SHIFT and right-click the process in the System Hierarchy Explorer, and then select Select Nested from the list to add all of the objects in the process to the select set.

Press CTRL and select the process in the System Hierarchy Explorer to remove all of the objects in the process from the select set.
