The following actions are available specifically for workflow steps in your To Do List. You see these actions only when they are applicable to the selected workflow item:

Action

When to choose

What happens next

Add recipients

You want to add one or more users to the original workflow step that is already initiated.

The workflow remains at this step, and the recipients get this step in their To Do List.

  • The target date of the recipient step does not change.

  • If the recipient has previously been assigned the same object step, the reassigned step is not duplicated.

Claim

Because multiple users can have the same role, you must claim a step to do the work required when it was assigned to a role rather than individual users.

The workflow remains at this step until you take the necessary action to move it forward.

Acknowledge

You need to confirm that work was done in previous steps.

The workflow moves to the next step.

Approve

You do not find any problems with the work done in previous steps.

The workflow moves to the next step.

Reassign

You want to reassign the step to another user.

The workflow moves the step to the reassigned user.

  • The target date of the reassigned step does not change.

  • If the recipient has previously been assigned the same object step, any reassigned step is terminated from your To Do List.

Reject

You find a problem with the work done in previous steps.

The workflow moves to the defined rejection path, which can be another workflow or another step in the same workflow.

Cancel

You cannot perform the work for the step.

The workflow moves to the defined cancelation path, which can be another workflow or another step in the same workflow.

Complete

You have finished the work for the step.

The workflow moves to the accept step.

Unable to Complete

You cannot complete the step.

The workflow moves to the rejection step.
