The WFDoExpirationChecks client API searches for all steps that are overdue and compares their dates against the system options. If the step has been overdue for longer than the reassignment period defined in the system options, the step is reassigned to the user or role defined on the workflow as the recipient for reassignment. If the step has exceeded the overdue period, the system will send a notification, based on the value defined for the Number of days between emails setting. This client API uses no parameters.
