You can only cancel a document when it is in the RESERVED state.
This an administration command for document controllers only.

Select Actions
> Cancel.

Enter the reason for canceling the document in the Cancel Document(s) dialog box.

When you cancel a document, any steps attached to a workflow are also terminated.

You can see the details of the canceled document on the History tab of the Object Details form.
