Problem

Merged rendition is not generated when the number of files or the overall file size is large.

Cause

You might encounter this problem when the FileServiceTimeout value in the app.config file is not sufficient for the file service to process large numbers of files or file sizes.

Solution

You need to perform the following steps:

1. Open the following folder:

   [drive]:\SDx Server Files\Web_Sites\[site name]\SPFConfigService\SPFSharedSettings\SPFAppServer.config

2. Increase the FileServiceTimeout value proportionately to the number of files or the overall file size.

The default and maximum acceptable values are 300,000 milliseconds and 2,147,483 milliseconds respectively.
