You can configure the Save Target As action to filter the file types attached to a document so you can choose which ones the users can download. For example, you may have multiple file types attached to a document but you want to restrict users to only view and download the PDF or Word files.

In the Desktop Client, find the FileDocRevCopyToLocal method.

Right-click the method, and click Update.

Select the FileType Filter option, and in the box enter the file type extensions in a comma-separated list. For example: pdf,doc.

If the FileType Filter option is left blank, all file types can be seen and are available for download.

Only files attached to the document that match the file type filter list can be viewed. If no files match the file type filter list, a no files found message is displayed.

If a document has two file types attached but only one file type can be viewed, the download automatically proceeds for that file type.
