Displays the Connect Elements settings dialog, shown below.
Use connect elements automation
Indicates that the application attempts to connect elements during profile creation. This prevents problems in profile cutting because some cutting machines types cannot cut short elements.
Line-Line connections
Controls whether the software connects two or more adjacent lines into a single line. The Cutting application creates a virtual tube in which the diameter is the height difference between the start point of the first line and the end point of the second line. If the diameter is less than the line-to-line tolerance, the software connects the lines. The angle and tolerance (that is, the connect tube diameter) are shown in the graphic below.
Angle to next element
Specifies the maximum angle between the two lines to connect.
Connect tube diameter
Specifies the maximum height difference between the start point and end point of the lines to connect.
Line-Arc connection
Controls whether the software connects two or more lines into a single arc, as shown in the graphic below.
Angle to next element
Specifies the maximum angle between the lines to connect. The angle direction must be the same.
Angle tolerance
Specifies the tolerance used when the software encounters additional lines (that is, more points) to add to the arc.
Length percent,%
Specifies the percentage by which software restricts the connected line length variance.
Arc-Arc connection
Center point tolerance
Specifies the maximum distance allowed between the center points of the arcs to connect.
Arc-Short Line connection
Connects adjacent arcs and small lines if the distance between the center points is less than the center point tolerance.
Line length
Specifies the distance between the center points of the arcs.
