For information on the NC command location, (see General toolbars under Nesting work area toolbars in Toolbars).

You create the NC-program using NC NCProgram ICON after generating cutting paths and completing all additional tasks, such as creating remnants. Click NC NCProgram ICON to display the NC Program properties (see below) in the State Manager.

To create the NC-program and nesting report:

  1. Click NC NCProgram ICON on the File toolbar.

The software displays options for creating the NC-program and reporting in the State Manager.

    • If you have not yet saved the nesting to the database, a separate dialog box opens and displays options for saving the nesting.

    • The software automatically names the NC-program. The Program name box is read-only.

    • The Solver automatically checks for possible problems during cutting. You should fix any such problems before continuing.

    • If you determine that the problems do not affect the cutting process, click Ignore All on the Solver.

  2. (Optional) Type additional information about the nesting in the Info box. The software displays this information on the nesting report and on the database window.

  3. Select the cutting machine under NC Program Creation.

The software displays the folder where it creates the NC program under the machine name.

  4. (Optional) Click Simulate to simulate the cutting path before creating the actual NC-program. For more information about simulating the cutting process, see Simulation.

  5. Select NestingReport under Reporting to open the nesting report automatically after creating the NC-program. Clear the check box if you do not want the nesting report to open automatically.

  6. Click Confirm .

The software creates the NC-program into the predefined folder. The software updates the Remnant database, and sets the nesting to read-only. If you selected NestingReport in the previous step, the Report Viewer application starts.

The Report Viewer displays a preview image of the nesting report. The nesting report displays the cutting time, machine type, nesting percent, and so forth. You can print the nesting report, or save it to a PDF, TXT, HTML or XLS file.
