You select the import set that DXF/DWG (Set) uses to interpret the text tags and entity colors in the import file.

Click DXE / DWG (Set) to display the Preparations menu (see below) in the State Manager.

Import Set

Specifies the import set. Select the import set from the drop-down list.

Import_Custom Import_Set Default Folder BTN Set Default Folder

Sets the last folder you used as the default folder. The default folder opens when you click Add Files .

Files

Add Files

Opens the default folder (defined by Set Default Folder). Browse for files to import, and click OK in File Explorer to add files to the Files list. You can also drag files to the Files list from File Explorer.

Remove Files

Clears the selected file from the Files list.

Import

Imports the files in the Files list and opens the Import results menu. You must save the Imported files to the database manually.

The Import results menu is described at the end of this topic.

Import and Save

Imports the files in the Files list and opens the Import results menu. The software saves the imported files to the database.

The drawing name and part number associated with each imported file must contain defined search tags. For information about defining search tags, see Attributes tab.

Failed tab

Displays a list of failed imports.

Imported tab

Displays a list of successful imports.

Changed

Indicates that a part with the same drawing name and different geometry already exists in the database.

Nested

Indicates that a part with the same drawing name is already nested.

Start Editing

Enables you to edit and save the imported geometry.

Apply Changes

Applies the changes to the selected import file.

New Import

Closes the Import results menu and opens the Preparations menu.

Custom Import

Imports the selected file using the Custom import and opens the Custom import frame.
