Right-click the work area (see 12 in Cutting Interface) or an element in the work area to access shortcut menus that provide commands for modifying the selection.
Parts work area shortcut menu
The shortcut menu shown below displays when you right-click a single element in the Parts work area.
Zoom
Contains the Zoom to Fit and Zoom to Selection commands.
Select
Displays a list of elements near the cursor position. Click an element in the list to select it. This command is useful when multiple elements are located near the specific element you want to select.
Cut
Moves the selected elements to the Clipboard.
Copy
Copies the selected elements to the Clipboard.
Paste
Moves contents from the Clipboard to the work area.
Delete
Deletes the selected elements.
Copy To
Displays a list of additional work areas. Select a work area from the list. The software copies the select set to the work area you selected.
Group Elements
Combines multiple elements into a group that you can treat as a single element. This command is only available when you select multiple elements.
Join As Polyline
Creates a polyline element from the selected elements. This command is only available when you select multiple elements that form a continuous line.
Split Elements
Converts the selected polyline element or group into separate elements. This command is only available when you select a polyline or a group.
Nesting work area shortcut menu
The shortcut menu shown below displays when you right-click a single element in the Nesting work area.
Zoom
Contains the Zoom to Fit and Zoom to Selection commands.
Geometry
Switches the snap mode to the geometry mode.
Technology
Switches the snap mode to the technology mode.
Path Geometry
Switches the snap mode to the path geometry mode.
Select
Displays a list of technology objects near the cursor position. Click a technology object in the list to select it. This command is useful when multiple technology objects are located near the specific technology object you want to select.
Cut
Moves the selected parts to the Clipboard.
Copy
Copies the selected parts to the Clipboard.
Paste
Moves contents from the Clipboard to the work area.
Delete
Deletes the selected parts.
Nesting
Provides commands for splitting a multi-sheet nesting into separate work areas before saving the nesting. The following commands are available: Create nestings from sheets and Create nestings from selection.
Collide
Specifies how selected parts collide. The following command are available: Up, Down, Left, and Right.
Copy To
Copies active parts into another work area.
Edit Geometry
Opens the active part in the Parts work area, where you can edit it.
The commands listed below are available in the Nesting work area shortcut menu, but
do not display in the graphic shown at the beginning of this section.
Move To Origin
Copies active parts into another work area.
Create Sheet Stack
Copies active parts into another work area.
Create Multi-torch Plate
Creates a new sheet using copies of the parts on the active sheet. The software defines the parts on the new sheet as multi-torch parts. The active technology group and the machine database must support this command.
Create Mirrored Multi-torch Plate
Creates a new, horizontally mirrored sheet using copies of the parts on the active sheet. The software defines the parts on the new sheet as multi-torch parts. The active technology group and the machine database must support this command.
