You can also link commodity codes and companies together by creating company commodity codes. To link commodity codes and companies, you can either assign commodity codes to companies or companies to commodity codes.

Click SRD > Component Manager > Commodity/Ident Management.

Select Commodity Group/Part/Commodity Code from the list.

Double-click a commodity group in the tree view to open the Commodity Parts grid.

Right-click the part row header in the Commodity Parts grid, and click Interface/ Company Dependent CCs (Ctrl + M).

In the Interface/Company Dependent CCs window, click the Company Commodity Codes tab, and select the Assign Company to Commodity Code option.

Select a commodity code from the Selection list .

In the Company Commodity Codes grid, click Edit Grid .

Click Add Row , and select a company from the Selection list .

Right-click the row header, and click Generate Company Commodity Codes.
You can also type a value in the Company Commodity Code cell, and select a control status in the Ctrl cell from the Selection list .

Select an option to set your interface:

SRD Table Details : If you want to generate the company commodity code using SRD table details.

Interface Specific Table Details : If you want to generate the company commodity code using interface specific table details (Smart 3D, PDS or other commodity codes).

If the company commodity keys are not derived from the SRD commodity keys, you are prompted to select the table details from Select Table Details for the missing tables.

The company commodity codes are generated based on the tables details selection.

Select Remember my preference to save the company preference for the current instance.

To change your preference, close and reopen the Company Dependent CCs window.

Click Save Grid , and then click Read-Only Grid .

You can generate company commodity codes for all existing companies for the selected commodity code by clicking Generate Company Commodity Codes . This generates the company commodity codes based on the defined company commodity rule. If the company commodity rule is not defined, or not active, then the company commodity codes are generated in accordance with the pattern DEF_<CC_ID>, where DEF means default and <CC_ID> is replaced by the commodity code id.

You cannot update the existing company commodity codes for a part using the Generate Company Commodity Codes .

You can assign commodity codes to companies in the same way by selecting the Assign Commodity Code to Company option.
