Map Other Rules

  1. Click the Other Rules tab.

  2. Expand a node from the Staging (Smart 3D Data) area, and then select a rule data.

  3. Select a corresponding template in the Project/Product Group Data area.

  4. To map the Other Rules data from Smart 3D, drag it to the template of Smart Reference Data.

    • The mapped rules are highlighted in green color. Example, OR_1

    • To view the corresponding rules, double-click an already mapped item. For example, double-click a rule OR_1, to view its corresponding mapped rule. Both the rule from the Staging (Smart 3D Data) area, OR_2and the rule from the Project/Product Group Data area, OR_2 are now highlighted in orange.

    • To remove a mapping, select the mapped rule and click the UnMap button in the toolbar (or click UnMap from the context menu). If you unmap a parent node mapping, all the relevant child node mappings are also unmapped.

    • Imported rules cannot be unmapped

SHARED Tip You can click Autmap to automatically map the unmapped rules to the template. If a rule sheet does not exist under the template node, the software automatically creates and maps the sheets.

Import Mapped Rules

  1. To import all the mapped data, click Import ImportIcon. The Import General Rule dialog box appears.

  2. Select the rows that you want to import, and then click Start. The status of each Other Rule sheet appears in the Status column.

If the status is View Conflicts, click the link to resolve the conflict. You can resolve it by either selecting the check box to overwrite with Smart 3D data or leave it as it is to keep the existing values in Smart Reference Data.
