Manage Tool Versions - Intergraph Smart Reference Data - 2020 (10.0) - Help - Hexagon

Using tool version management, you can create an effective version that is the main version of an interface (example: Smart 3D 2014) and associate multiple product versions to it. The effective version is used while associating product versions to a document.

For example, if Smart 3D is an interface with the effective version Smart 3D 2014, you can group product versions Smart 3D 2014 R1 Smart 3D 2014 R2, and Smart 3D 2014 R3 and associate them to the effective version Smart 3D 2014.

1. Click Administration > XA70 Document Management > XA7020 Tool Version Management.

2. In the Effective Versions grid, click the row header to display the corresponding details in the Product Versions grid.

3. In the Effective Versions grid, click Edit Grid .

4. Click Add Row , and type the effective version, short description, description in the Effective Version, Short Desc, and Description cells respectively.

5. Select a value for the interface in the Interface cell from the Selection list .

6. Click Save Grid , and click Read-Only Grid .

7. In the Product Version grid, click Edit Grid .

8. Click Add Row , and select the product version in the Version cell from the Selection list .

9. Type the short description and description in the Short Desc and Description cells respectively.

10. Click Save Grid , and click Read-Only Grid .
