You can create new attributes and new tables from the CMS Class Properties grid. New attributes can also be created from the CMS Class Dependent Properties grid.

When a Smart 3D data table is mapped to the selected class, the S3D Attribute column displays the same text that is provided in the Table or Attribute column. By default, a Smart 3D attribute with the same name as the table or attribute is created. If you do not want to create the Smart 3D attribute, you can delete the value or select an existing value from the Selection list LOV.

  1. Do one of the following:

    In the CMS Class Properties grid, enter the new table or attribute name in the Table or Attribute column, respectively.

    or

    In the CMS Class Dependent Properties grid, based on the selected property type, enter the new attribute name and its value, or the new table name and its value in the Attribute, Value and Table columns accordingly.

    SHARED Tip You can also copy required properties (tables, attributes, or values) from a Microsoft Excel part sheet, right-click the row header, and click Paste (Transpose* )in the CMS Class Properties or CMS Class Dependent Properties grid accordingly. Click Table or Attribute to add the properties as type table or attribute.

  2. Click Check Grid or Save Grid.

    If new attributes or tables exist in the grid, the CMS Create Properties grid is displayed.

Fields in Grid: In order to add or modify an assigned property, values for the following columns are required in the grid.

You can select or clear rows in the grid. Select rows to create and save new properties. Clear the rows to not create new properties.

  • Property Type: The property type, either table or attribute, is displayed in this field. This is a read-only field.

  • Property Code: The property name, either the table name or the attribute name, is displayed in this field. This is a read-only field.

  • S3D Attribute: The Smart 3D attribute name if provided is displayed in this field. This is a read-only field.

  • Table Group: The value provided in this field is the name of the table group. This is an editable field. By default, the value of table name is displayed as table group name.

  • Table Group Short Desc: The value provided in this field is the short description of a table group. This is an editable field. By default, the value of table name is displayed as table group short description.

  • Table Group Description: The value provided in this field is the description of a table group. This is an editable field. By default, the value of table name is displayed as table group description.

  • Label Text/Short Desc: The value provided in this field is the label text for a property of type Attribute. The value provided in this field is considered to be the short description for a property of type Table. This is an editable field. By default, the property name is displayed.

  • Hint Text/Description: The value provided in this field is the hint text for a property of type Attribute. The value provided in this field is considered to be the description for a property of type Table. This is an editable field. By default, the property name is displayed.

  • Help Text: This is a read-only field for a property of type Table. This is an editable field for a property of type Attribute.

  • Datatype: This is a read-only field for a property of type Table. This is an editable field for a property of type Attribute. By default, the data type for an attribute is CHAR.

  • Ident NLS: This is an editable field. The option is selected by default.

  • NLS-Val: This is an editable field. The option is not selected by default.

  • Selection list: This is a read-only field for a property of type Table. This is an editable field for a property of type Attribute.

Grid Buttons:

  • Save: Saves the selected rows in the grid.

  • Cancel: Closes the grid, canceling the create properties operation.
