On the Commodity Code Lookup dialog box, select a commodity code, and click Modify Code.
The Commodity Code Lookup dialog box highlights the codes that have already been assigned to the specification.
The Modify Code button is only available if you are working in a valve component group (identifier
V) and if you have not added tag numbers on the Commodity Code screen to the commodity code.

On the Coding on the fly dialog box, view the information about the commodity code and its description.

In the Tag Number box, enter text as needed.

In the Document Code box, use the browse button to select a code.
Both the tag number and document code must be unique in the project.

In the grid, change the details as needed.
