You can add, update, and delete attribute values for NLS independent and NLS dependent attributes using the Attribute Values grid. NLS dependent attributes are those attributes whose associated values are supported in multiple languages. For example, when creating idents using an NLS dependent attribute, only those attribute values whose NLS description is same as the logged in NLS are displayed in the Selection list LOV. For NLS independent attributes, when creating idents, all the attribute values are displayed in the Selection list LOV. By default, an attribute is set as NLS independent. You can set an attribute as NLS dependent by clearing the check box in the NLS-Independent column in the Attributes grid.

  1. Click SRD > XS10 Component Manager > XS1060 Attribute Management.

  2. Select Attribute Groups/Attributes from the drop-down list at the top of the tree view.

  3. Double-click an attribute group to open the Attributes grid.

  4. To manage the attribute values associated with an NLS independent attribute, right-click the row header of the NLS independent attribute, and then click Attribute Values.

You need to set the Attributes grid to read-only mode to access the Attribute Values grid.

SHARED Tip You can also access the Attribute Values grid by double-clicking the attribute row header.

  5. In the Attribute Values grid, click Edit Grid EditGrid.

  6. To add a new attribute value, click Add Row PropertiesNew.

  7. Type a description for the attribute value in the Valid Value column or select a value from the Selection list LOV. When adding attribute values for NLS dependent attributes, you must select a NLS description for the attribute value in the NLS Description column from the Selection list LOV.

  8. To delete an existing attribute value, right-click the attribute value row header, and then click Delete or press the DELETE key.

  9. Click Save Grid SaveGrid, and then click Read-Only Grid ReadOnly.

You can also add, update, and delete attribute values associated with an attribute by right-clicking the attribute in the tree view and then clicking Attribute Values.
