Immediately after the installation process, you are asked whether you want to associate specific types of files with SmartPlant Markup Plus. By doing so, you indicate that these types of files should be opened in SmartPlant Markup Plus by default. Any supported type of file may be opened in the SmartPlant Markup Plus application, but only those types of files selected on the File Type Associations dialog box will have SmartPlant Markup Plus as the default application.
While the File Type Associations dialog box appears automatically at the end of the installation process, it is also available at any time from the Start menu or from within the SmartPlant Markup Plus application. Therefore, you can associate files at any time once you have installed the software.
For additional information about associating types of files with SmartPlant Markup Plus and external viewers, see Associate file types.
