Click Layer > Save

If Owning Group has an asterisk (*) after it, select an owning group.

In the Description box, type a description for the markup layer. This information can help you later if you want to find this layer again.

Select the Unload after saving check box if you want to remove the saved layer from the current display.

The Save command is available only when an active document contains an active markup layer with at least one new element.

The File name box displays the name of the file for which the markup layer will be saved. The information in this box cannot be edited.

If you want to change the color used for the elements in the markup layer, click Color and select a different option.
