Click Edit > Find .

Enter the text string you want to find in the Find What field.

Select Up or Down to indicate whether the software should move toward the beginning or end of the file while searching.

Click the Find Next button to find the next occurrence of the text string.

If necessary, you can indicate that occurrences of the text string within other words should be ignored by selecting the Match whole word only check box.

If necessary, you can indicate that only occurrences with the exact same capitalization should be reported by selecting the Match case check box.

When the character string is found, it is highlighted with the foreground and background colors inverted. In MicroStation files, the string is highlighted by zooming in on the area and placing a block of the highlight color around the string.

The Find What field will accept up to 255 characters.

A message appears if the application is unable to find the specified text string in the document.
