The Layer > Lock command allows you, if you have administrator rights, to lock a markup layer to prevent changes. This feature is useful in controlling individual layers that have already been reviewed, without having to lock an entire document. For example, you might lock a layer devoted to piping comments without locking the layer where comments are made about instrumentation.

This command is available when using SmartPlant Foundation or Directa. These two products provide the security information to determine if you have the applicable permissions to lock or unlock a layer. It is not available when using SmartPlant Markup Plus stand-alone.
-
All layers for a file can be locked or unlocked at once from within Directa Manager by clicking Object > Lock Redlines or Object > Unlock Redlines.
-
Markup layers in PDF files created in Directa can be locked.
