Select Add > Support Command to display the Selection ribbon. You can also select Place Support
on the Place toolbar.

Select
on the Selection ribbon to display the Select New Material dialog.

Select the item code for the type of support to place, and then select OK.
The selection bar updates to show the description for the selected support type.

On the Selection ribbon, select the direction in the Direction list.

Position the support on the pipe.
The icon changes to
, indicating that a reference point is required. As you position the support within
the pipe, you must specify a reference point to define its position.

Select a point on the pipe to define a reference point. In the example, the center of an elbow is defined as the reference point.

Type the distance from the reference point to the support in the Distance box, and then select OK
on the Selection ribbon.
To view the support as it will appear in the generated drawing, select Update Current View 
on the Tools toolbar.
