When creating an alternate PBS, you must remove the existing PBS relationships and create new relationships between tags and the new PBS items.

We recommend that you create a backup copy of the original spreadsheets before making any modifications to them.

Define PBS information

To define the area, unit, project, and vault information for SPO/E Core, modify the SCHEMA_SPO.xlsm file for PBS manually.

  1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of SCHEMA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

  2. Open the SCHEMA_SPO.xlsm file. Add a new sheet, PropertyDef, and add a new property definition to support publishing tags from other engineering tools.

For example, the following graphic shows adding a new property definition, SPFSubSystemCode, to create a relationship between tags and SubSystem to support publishing tags from various engineering tools, like Smart P&ID, Smart Electrical, and so forth.

    PBS_Schema changes_PropertyDef

  3. In the GraphDef sheet, modify the graph definition related with existing PBS. For example, if you are a creating PBS as Plant, System, and SubSystem, then remove the Area and Unit relationships from the existing graph definition, and add the new System and SubSystem relationships.

  4. Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as SCHEMA_SPO_PBS.xlsm.

Define originators, disciplines, and many more

This procedure defines for originators, disciplines, mapped columns, users, user roles, and so on for SPO/E Core, modify the DATA_SPO.xlsm file by following the below procedures manually.

  1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

  2. Open the DATA_SPO.xlsm file. Modify the Mapped Column sheet to delete the information about the existing PBS items. For example, the highlighted section in the following graphic shows the area and unit relationships that need to be deleted:

    Mapped Coulmn_DATA_CORE

  3. Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as DATA_SPO_Core.xlsm.

Modify the WBS information

The WBS defines the work package, project group, and project number information for SPO/E Core. To make any modifications to these, modify the DATA_SPO.xlsm file for WBS manually.

  1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

  2. Open the DATA_SPO.xlsm file, and delete the ProjectNumbers sheet to delete the relationship between the project numbers and the existing plant.

  3. Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as DATA_SPO_WBS.xlsm.

Modify the TAG information

The TAG information includes tag classification information, delete instructions for existing tag classification mappings, and so on. To make any modifications to these, modify the DATA_SPO.xlsm file for TAG manually.

  1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_SPO.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

  2. Open the DATA_SPO.xlsm file. In the Rel sheet, delete the relationship between the Adapter document and the existing plant, and create a new relationship between the Adapter document and the new plant.

  3. Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet by renaming it as DATA_SPO_TAG.xlsm.

Modify the class, relationship and interface definition for CDW

The following procedure defines the various class definitions, relationship definitions, and interface definitions for the consolidated data warehouse (CDW) domain.

  1. Navigate to Smart Community for sample ELF of DATA_CDW.xlsm file. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

  2. Open the DATA_CDW.xlsm file. In the RDef-RDef sheet, delete the relationship between the authoring relationship definitions and CDW relationship definitions for PBS items. For example, the following graphic shows the relationship that need to be deleted from the RDef-RDef sheet.

    DATA_CDW changes

  3. Click File > Save to save the spreadsheet.
