Create a new plant structure - SmartPlant Foundation - Version 2019 (10.0) - Administration & Configuration

The following steps shows an example of creating a custom PBS as Plant/System/SubSystem.

Create a plant

1. Log on to the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client.

2. Click File > New > Organization / Support Items > Plant.

3. Type the name of your plant based on the guidelines in Plant Naming Guidelines.

4. Select Active from the Status list.

Create a system

1. Set your scope to the new plant.

2. Click File > New > Organization / Support Items > PBS Plant System.

3. Type the name of your system.

4. Select New for Construction status.

Create a sub system

1. Click File > New > Organization / Support Items > PBS Sub System.

2. Type the name of your sub system.

3. Select New for Construction status. The customized PBS structure is created.
