Configure Smart Instrumentation domain definitions - SmartPlant Foundation - Version 2019 (10.0) - Administration & Configuration

Smart Instrumentation provides basic database definitions for an integration environment.

The consistency between instrument types in Smart Instrumentation and the data warehouse is defined in IntoolsEF.db, located in the Smart Instrumentation installation folder. The naming conventions and additional definitions are also defined in IntoolsEF.db.

1. Open Smart Instrumentation System Administration.

2. Click File > Initialize.

3. In the Initialize dialog box, click Source.

4. In the Source Data Connection dialog box, perform the following:

   1. From the Database type list, select Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere.

   2. In the Database file name and path text box, type the path for the Sybase database, or click Browse and select IntoolsEF.db.

   3. From the Domain list, select INITIALTEF.

   4. Click Connect.

5. Create a new domain.
