  InsightViews help you to consolidate intelligence about your assets into role-based views and ease access to critical information. Instead of having to use different systems and gather critical information from colleagues, InsightViews allow you to create a picture of what is happening now and what is happening in the future.

  An InsightView dashboard displays real-time data from various OData sources (including third-party data sources) in a single page within the Web Client. The data can be related to a selected object, such as a tag, a unit, a change, or a work package, allowing you to easily visualize plant information relevant to that object.

  A Business Administrator can configure role-based dashboards containing a number of widgets. Each widget can display data from a different data source. A step by step wizard guides the business administrator through this process.

  In this initial release there are three types of widget delivered. These are shown in the following example:

  In this example, the InsightView dashboard is shown in a pop-up window. It can also be configured to open as a page rather than as a pop-up window.

  

  1	is an iframe widget. These widgets can embed external web pages such as sensor information from OSISoft or Aspen.
  2	is a form widget. These can display general information such as tag or asset details.
  3	is a grid widget. These can list multiple data entries such as open work orders for a tag.

  Reference files are among the most important concepts in multiple disciplines that involve CAD files ( Autodesk (dwg, dxf), MicroStation (dgn), PPM (rad)) or Word files. The relationships between the reference files and the master files must be tracked to keep the files associated during various operations like check in, check out, viewing, and other.

  The reference files and their relationships may now be easily handled in Web Client, in an automated way, through a very simple and intuitive interface. Operations like identifying references, reporting missing references, resolving duplicates and establishing the correct reference relations are automatically triggered by the document actions:

  • Document Creation

  • Manage Files

  • Replace Files

  • Check-in

  • Signoff

  • Undo-Signoff

  • Revise

  You can resolve duplicates when a file is attached (Doc Creation/Check-in/Replace Files/Manage Files/Revise) using the following UI:
