  • To efficiently transfer documents from Data Capture to FDW, the Data Capture Managed Data Task module in the Desktop Client is now delivered with a view definition group, Data Capture Document Transfer to FDW, and a Data Validator job definition, HEX Managed Data Task. For more information, see Create a new managed data task. (CR-AM-158904)

  • The Web Client now handles the duplication of workflow steps on reassignment of any project communication workflow step. For more information, see Workflow step actions. (CR-AM-160975)

  • When a temporary change request is at the Review proposed solutions step, you can no longer approve it if there is an internal change action in progress on an object related to the change request. (CR-AM-160980)

  • You can now use the Process Enabled Layers option in Data Capture Pre-Processor Drawing Reader Pre-Processor module to extract data from only enabled layers in a drawing file. For more information, see Add rules. (CR-AM-154203)

    Tell me more

We've made navigating between P&ID drawings easier using off page connectors (OPC). We've improved the navigation experience and made gathering data more efficient.

With this new feature, you can define off-page connector (OPC) rules for native and PDF P&ID drawings. During the Content Extraction process, the OPCs are extracted and created in the system. With this new feature, yu can interactively nagivate to a continuation drawing when you're viewing and markin up of P&ID drawings.

This feature supports hotspotting and the usage of OPCs within P&ID and native files. Additionally, it supports the usage of aliases, which is important and relevant especially in brownfield environments.

  • Data Capture General Settings module in the Desktop Client is now delivered with an option Enable case insensitivity when comparing data for inconsistencies, which tells the software to ignore case sensitivity while checking for data inconsistencies. For more information, see Learn more about defining the general settings and View inconsistencies in master tag properties. (CR-AM-145991)

  • You can now restrict files types from copy or download from any files attached to a parent file using the EditFiles, Checkout, Revise, and Replace actions. For more information, see Configure object actions to restrict file types and Client APIs. (CR-AM-157221)

  • You can now reassign tasks using a new role and user interface where you can see the status of all reassigned users. For more information, see Reassign work to a different user. (CR-AM-146146, CR-AM-157222, CR-AM-157223, CR-AM-159125, CR-AM-161159)

  • In the Web Client, most of the delivered API entry point functions are now redirected to the search bar so you can enter search criteria. For information on how to enable the change in an upgraded environment, see Update the API entry point functions to redirect to the search bar for SDx and see Update the API entry point functions to redirect to the search bar for SmartPlant Foundation Web Client. (CR-AM-161209)

  • An automatic caching option for the 3D models is now available in the site settings node. For more information, see Site Settings node properties. (CR-AM-143548)

  • The error handling for three computed columns (Split, SubString, and GetJobDetails) during the Data Validator job processing has been enhanced to return blank values if the input values are invalid. This will prevent the job from failing at the import stage. For more information about these computed columns, see Use the Computed column. (CR-AM-161197)

  • A new check box, Validate CSV before uploading in Web Client, is now available in the Data Validator System Options. This check box is selected by default. You can clear this check box to disable the validation of the CSV file format while uploading it in the Web Client for job processing. The validation of the CSV file format takes place after the job is created and placed in the workflow. For more information, see Set Data Validator default options. (CR-AM- 161746)

  • When you search for items in the Web Client, you can enable a sneak peek at search results for less than three character search criteria. (CR-AM-161465)
