Update 26 Highlights

• Manage specific documents and tag classifications from a central location.

  When you have a specific classification requirement for a location or process technology, the classifications can be loaded to your general classification standard, but only exposed or used on specific plants or projects.

  Similar to Issue Purposes and Disciplines, the document and tag classifications can be configured for any plant or project. Configuration can be done when creating a plant or a project but can also be modified during the project execution. While loading submittals, the document and tag classifications will get validated against the classifications that are related to the configuration in which the submittal is being loaded. Also when the document or tag is getting created interactively, only the related classifications will be displayed to the user.

  This functionality will support a company standard classification for tags and documents from which administrators can select the classifications needed for a specific plant or a project. This will also allow searching across the projects for tags with the same classification. A limited subset of classifications can be applied on smaller projects, which will make the user experience much easier and allows for more efficient project execution.

• New widget enhancements for dashboards

  • A new menu provides easy access to expand the widget or refresh the widget content.

    

  • In SDx, now you can configure a widget loading threshold that will prevent widgets from autoloading if the widget was identified to take longer to load than the threshold. Users can trigger and load these widgets on demand.

    

  • Now object icons are enabled in the grid view of the widgets when viewing SDx data.

    

• Improved Compare Documents as Text functionality

  • You can now perform more interactive actions as opposed to it being read-only before. You can toggle the view of each file, expand or collapse same text and use basic document viewing features that we have to offer such as thumbnail page navigation, zoom and pan, text search, options for controlling layout, as well as downloading and printing a file.

    

• You can now start the content extraction while checking in a file.

• Fonts are retained when added or delivered fonts are modified.

  • The "Update Web Client Site" option in Server Manager has been improved to retain any fonts that have been added or delivered fonts are modified. Other files that are not fonts will be copied over. This includes overwriting text files which are currently license informational files under the corresponding Fonts folders. This improves the deployment experience by removing the manual steps previously required to preserve fonts.

• The icons for laser navigation have been redesigned
