In this section, you will learn how to create a custom flow switch with tag number: F-002. This flow switch will use the symbol called SP3DFlowSwitch.FlowSwitch.

Navigate to SRD > Component Manager > Commodity/Ident Management and add a new commodity rule CUSTOM. Do not assign any tables to the commodity rule.

Create a new Group IC under All Commodity Groups/Commodity Group in Data Explorer and close the window.

Go to Commodity Group/Part/Commodity Code under Data Explorer and double-click Group IC.

In the grid, add Part F and assign CUSTOM rule under Rule column.

Click Save grid , and then click Read-Only grid to set the grid back to read-only mode.

In the tree view, click Refresh .

Expand IC group and double click on Part F and add FLOWSWITCHCUSTOM commodity code.

Save the records and lock the grid.

Go to CMS > CMS Component Manager.
Make sure that you are viewing SDB_ENTERPRISE_CONTEN class system.

Expand INSTRUMENTS class and right click FLOW SWITCH CUSTOM class.

Select Manage Class > Update Class.

Create the following Type Mapping and click Save.

Double click FLOW SWITCH CUSTOM class to open its grid view.

Click Edit grid and create the following record.
You can copy and paste data from FlowSwitch sheet exported in section Stock Instruments, and make the required changes in data as shown below:

Click Save grid , and then click Read-Only grid to set the grid back to read-only mode.
CMS Ident is now created.
Create records for InstrumentClassData sheet

Navigate to Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Configuration.

Go to Templates tab and expand TRAINING_TEMPLATE

Double-click the InstrumentClassData[Custom, Generic Tag] worksheet.

Create the following record.

Click Save grid , and then click Read-Only grid to set the grid back to read-only mode.
Export instrument data from SRD.

Navigate to Integration > Smart3D > Smart3D Configuration

Go to Data Table Mappings tab and expand TRAINING_ITEM_MAPPING.

Double-click the FlowSwitchCustom sheet and add Group IC and Part F.

Click Save grid , and then click Read-Only grid to set the grid back to read-only mode.

Navigate to Integration > Smart3D > Smart3D Transfer Jobs.

Select the job INSTRUMENT” and create a New Run.

Delete the old entry and enter the following entry in the Idents tab.

Click Save grid , and then click Read-Only grid to set the grid back to read-only mode.

Click Start Job.
