There are missing lines or unwanted lines on the resulting data table.

General Hints

If the data table is contained in the catalog structure, navigate to Integration->Smart 3D->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->Transfer Job Results. Select the data table from data table combo box to display the exported data table data.

If the data is displayed, it must have been lost during writing the Excel file. You should look at the Write to file logfile.

If lines are missing here as well, the reason might be that all lines were already posted to the inventory, so the program did not export them again. In this case, you should be able to view the lines on Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->Destinations. This is only possible if you complete jobs through all stages. If jobs are cancelled, their results are not in the Destination.

If the inventory does not contain this data tables data, or there are unwanted lines in your result data table, you should check the configuration on Integration->Smart 3D->Smart 3D Configurations->Data Table Configurations. In the case of lines not coming out properly, the configuration of attributes plays no role.

44

If the retrieval method is correctly defined, look at the retrieval source. You can double click in the source field or click on LOV LOV button to examine details about the source.

Depending on the data table or type of data table, there are different ways to retrieve the data and different prerequisites to get correct results. Some common cases are listed below.

Part Classes

Items exported to PartClasses usually come from Smart Reference Data commodity codes/idents. The commodity codes/idents to be transferred to Smart 3D must be displayed on the Idents tab of Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->Transfer Jobs:

45

The level of ident selection can be different. If groups are selected, It means that all related idents of these groups are rated as "in selection."

PartClass data tables use the SHT_STND_METHOD to produce reasonable results. The Source must be "PartClass" for part classes (unless intentionally changed by the customer). Using "Default" as source leads to a PipeStock data table that contains all commodity codes/idents selected for this job (not only pipe). On the other hand, PartClass data table are typically incomplete if the relation between parts and the part class on Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Configurations->Data Table Mappings is missing. Here is an example mapping for 45 degree elbows:

46

Another possibility to check is if the idents really exist in Smart Reference Data for the commodity codes you want to export.

If there is a problem in the definition section of the part class, check if the values are there on Integration->Smart 3D->Smart 3D Configurations->Data Table Configurations:

Template Data Tables

If you want to export a template data table like a codelist or a generic table, the setting must be TEMPLATE_COPY. If the template data table does not exist, "MAR-44000 Template data table NameOfTheSheet is not defined." is raised as a fatal error. If the data table exists in the template, the records on it are exported. So the completeness of the template data table must be checked if the export result was incorrect.

Spec-dependent data tables derived by TEMPLATE_COPY are exported if the spec is listed on the Specification Items tab of Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->Transfer Jobs. The data table category of the respective SPEC_RULE, and the check box for spec dependency must be checked.

SpecItemFilter

The Smart Reference Data spec items to be exported must be listed on the Specification Items tab of Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->Transfer Jobs. If only the spec code is provided, all contained spec items are exported.

MaterialControlData

Items exported to the PipingCommodityMatlControlData usually come from Smart Reference Data commodity codes/idents. The commodity codes/idents to be transferred to Smart 3D must be displayed on the Idents tab of Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->Transfer Jobs:

49

The level of ident selection can be different. If groups are selected, It means that all related idents of these groups are rated as "in selection."

Additionally, if you use the supplied retrieval source "PipingCommodityMatlControlData" on Integration->Smart 3D->Smart 3D Configurations->Data Table Configurations, the items to be exported must be mapped to their partclass data tables (which do not have to be among the selected data tables of the job). Items do not appear on the output data table if the relation between parts and the part class on Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Configurations->Data Table Mappings is missing. Here is the mapping for 45 degree elbows:

50

The ident filtering logic is coded in a custom function. Be aware that the function might have been customized in your database.

The config items SI_TRANSLATION_LEVEL, SI_SCHEDULE_MTHD_NONPIPING, and SI_SCHEDULE_MTHD_PIPING on Integration->Smart 3D ->Smart 3D Transfer Jobs->General Configurations control whether single idents are exported to the data table or commodity codes or if the lines are broken by schedule.
