Click SmartPlant > UI Command > Retrieve.

Select a PBS node in the tree view to filter documents by PBS node. This step is optional.

In the Document type box, specify the type of document to be retrieved.

In the Show section, select New versions of retrieved documents to include documents that have been retrieved previously and have been published again since the last retrieval.
Select Documents of all owning groups option to list the documents associated with all owning groups. If you see documents listed that are not available for selection, you don’t have access to their owning group.
If you need to retrieve a document that is disabled, contact your administrator to be added to the owning group. For more information about owning groups in integration, see Using owning groups with Publish and Retrieve.

Select documents to retrieve.

For each document you select, select an option in the Retrieve Option column.
Option
Details
As published
Retrieves only the data that the authoring tool originally published, along with the selected revision and version of the document at the time of publishing.
Latest data
Retrieves data by comparing the information in the database with the published XML file, then updates the objects that were originally published.
CDW data
Retrieves the data by updating the property values contained in a published XML file with those contained on the corresponding CDW object.
CDW must be enabled to use this option.
To apply a Retrieve option to multiple documents, point to the cell that you want to select, then click and drag until all documents are highlighted. Right-click on the highlighted cells, and select Retrieve option to apply the Latest data, As published, or CDW data option.

Click OK to retrieve the specified documents.

The Deleted and Unclaimed Objects document is retrieved automatically every time you retrieve if there is a newer version of the document available since the last retrieval. The document is not included in the list, but it is retrieved automatically, when necessary, to ensure that the applicable information is updated.

Retrieved files are placed in the temporary directory under the SPTestToolRetrievedFiles\<Registered site plant name> folder.

SmartPlant Test Tool.Net does not create <document name>_MapSchema.xml.
